Excerpt from Humanities' Vanity Book 2

"So you really have gone soft!" Bradley sneered. I let it pass. Could it be true? Bradley hadn't been the first person to demand that I retract the option, far from it. Voting was going heavily for ‘Take No Action’- of course it didn't show each individual Admiral’s vote but it did show the progress of the voting and I was catching a lot of flack to retract my option. I think that more than anything else was the reason I did not retract it. I do not like being told what to do no matter who is doing the telling.

"I really don't know what to think anymore." I said honestly. I raised my hands and showed them to Bradley. "These hands are bathed in blood. Blood that will never wash off. Maybe we should give the mammalian races a chance."
